BLK OPL Voiceover & Script – Black History Month Campaign

Walmart tapped me to script and narrate a video as part of their Black History Month campaign, featuring the legendary Black-owned brand BLK OPL (Black Opal). This project was all about honoring the legacy of Black beauty — its impact, its excellence, and its ongoing innovation.

I wrote and performed a voiceover script that celebrated the deep cultural roots of the brand, while tying in themes of confidence, identity, and community. The goal was to not just sell a product, but to tell a story — one that reflected pride, heritage, and the power of seeing yourself reflected on the shelves.

This collaboration was especially meaningful to me as a Black beauty creator, and as someone who grew up seeing BLK OPL in my household long before influencer marketing was a thing. It was an opportunity to create branded content that felt personal, poetic, and purposeful.
